Why lanka.lol exists, and what it is deliberately not.
Most of what I think while building software never goes anywhere. It dies in group chats, half-finished notes, and threads that disappear after 48 hours.
lanka.lol is where it gets to live instead.
What this is#
My corner of the internet. A mix of three things:
- Notes. Opinions on AI engineering, written while I'm still figuring things out.
- A lab. Open questions and experiments: agents, MCP, RAG, evals, inference. Shown unfinished.
- A shelf. Things I've read and would send to a friend.
What this isn't#

The short version of who I am#
I'm Pasindu Lanka, a software engineer in Colombo, currently pointing most of my attention at AI. Online I go by xx.lanka on Instagram and TikTok, and @xx_lanka on X.
